A Meditation for Holiday Bliss

According to Dr. Stuart Brown, founder of “The National Institute for Play,” play shapes the brain, opens the imagination and invigorates the soul. Bouncing Back After Holiday Binging

I love clean eating, but if you met me around the holidays you would never know it. It starts at Halloween. I consciously buy assorted candy bags with Sweetarts, Nerds and Laffy Taffy, which I can easily avoid, but when my children return from foraging with vast amounts of chocolate I loose all control. Mommy and Baby Pea Workout

December 8th is a very important date for me; it always has been and always will be. December 8, 1927, my grandmother (or “Gram” as I always called her) was born. Her name was Evelyn and everyone called her Evie. I loved my Gram so much that I named my four month old daughter after her. I can already tell that my little Evie is going to have some of my Gram in her. I am hoping that one of those traits is that my Gram was always so active; growing up as a tomboy, climbing trees and constantly playing outside. Continue reading
